A Gift-in-Kind is a gift received on the field by a country or program of anything other than cash. It can be the gift of goods and/or services to the ministry. Examples of gifts-in-kind are:
- Our programs offering office space and/or warehousing at no cost.
- Donations of equipment for the use of our ministry.
- Volunteer hours.
- Providing shipping and logistics for our products at no cost to the program.
- Helping create and duplicate promotional materials for outreach at no cost to the program.
The Gifts in Kind section lists a summary of donations or services entered by date. This list of Gifts in Kind can be further filtered and sorted by clicking the "Customize report" button.
Select Finance from the main menu, then go to the Gift in Kind tab on the top of the screen and click on the Add New Gift in Kind button on the top right-hand side of the screen

A user can also add a Gift in Kind by going to the Quick Actions card on the Finance overview tab and selecting Add New Gift in Kind.
The following information will be required to save a Gift in Kind form:
Date - Select the date when the donation was received. The date selected can be a past date.
Area - Select the Geographic Area, Region, Country, or Program to which the donation was given.
Gift Type - Select the type of donation received.
Amount - The estimated value of the donation or services. The amount must be entered in US dollars.
Note - Add specific notes to help identify details about the donation or gift. This is a required field
Select Save or Save & New.
